our ai policy
Last Updated: March 6, 2026
Codeintel uses Artificial Intelligence ("AI") and automation to improve how we build, operate, and optimize digital experiences - especially for regulated industries like mortgage and financial services. This page explains what AI we use, how we use it, what we don't do, and how we protect data, privacy, and compliance.
what we mean by "AI"
AI refers to software that can recognize patterns, generate content, summarize information, classify data, or support decision-making. In our services, AI is used to assist teams - not to independently make final business, credit, or legal decisions.
how we use AI
Depending on the product, engagement, and configuration, AI may be used for:
1) Content Support (Marketing + Education)
✓ Drafting and refining website copy, blogs, FAQs, and landing pages
✓ Creating content outlines, summaries, and topic clusters
✓ Improving readability, tone consistency, and SEO structure
✓ Generating variations of compliant marketing language for review
✓ Human review is required before publishing.
2) Search & Visibility (SEO / GEO)
✓ Keyword and intent research assistance
✓ Content gap analysis and internal linking suggestions
✓ On-page optimization recommendations (titles, headings, schema ideas)
✓ Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) support for AI-driven search results
3) Website Personalization & User Experience
✓ Helping teams test messaging variations (A/B ideas)
✓ Suggesting page layouts and navigation improvements
✓ Supporting chatbot/assistant experiences when enabled by clients
4) Analytics & Operational Insights
✓ Summarizing analytics trends (traffic patterns, engagement)
✓ Identifying anomalies or changes in performance
✓ Drafting performance narratives and action plans
5) Automation & Workflow Efficiency
✓ Assisting internal teams with repetitive tasks (tagging, routing, summaries)
✓ Supporting template generation and content formatting
✓ Accelerating documentation and implementation workflows
what we do not use AI for
To protect consumers and our partners, Codeintel does not use AI to:
✓ Make lending decisions or determine creditworthiness
✓ Approve/deny loans, set pricing, or determine eligibility
✓ Provide legal advice, compliance determinations, or financial advice
✓ Guarantee rankings, leads, revenue, or performance outcomes
✓ Represent AI-generated content as verified facts without review
chatbots, agents & virtual assistants
If a client enables chat or virtual assistant features, they may:
✓ Answer general questions about products/services
✓ Help users find pages, resources, or contact forms
✓ Collect contact details for follow-up (if configured)
Chatbots are informational only and should not be treated as lending, legal, or financial advice. If chat is enabled on a client site, users should be told how to reach a human representative and how to request deletion of submitted chat data (where applicable).
data handling & privacy
We design AI workflows to minimize data exposure and follow privacy-first practices.
Data Minimization
✓ We only use the data needed to deliver the requested functionality.
✓ Sensitive data should not be entered into public forms or chat unless explicitly required for a service request.
Personal Data
Depending on the project, AI features may process limited personal data (e.g., name, contact details) strictly to support requested user interactions. We avoid processing sensitive personal information unless required and properly disclosed.
Client Data
Client-provided materials (branding, policies, content libraries, training docs) may be used to generate drafts or summaries within the scope of the engagement.
security practices (high-level)
Security controls vary by deployment and client requirements, but commonly include:
✓ Access controls and least-privilege permissions
✓ Environment separation (dev/staging/production)
✓ Logging and monitoring aligned to operational needs
✓ Vendor risk review when third-party services are involved
✓ Data retention controls based on contract and configuration
If you are a client and need a security overview, we can provide engagement-specific documentation.
accuracy, limitations, & human review
AI can produce:
✓ Incorrect statements
✓ Outdated information
✓ Hallucinated details or citations
✓ Overconfident phrasing
For that reason:
✓ AI-generated content must always subject to human review before publishing or client use.
✓ Compliance-sensitive content should be reviewed by qualified compliance personnel.
✓ Final approvals remain with the client.
intellectual property (IP) & ownership
Unless otherwise stated in a signed agreement:
✓ Client-owned source materials remain client property.
✓ Deliverables created by Codeintel are governed by the applicable contract/SOW.
✓ AI tools may generate content that is similar to other materials on the internet; uniqueness is not guaranteed. We recommend editorial review and originality checks for high-stakes publications.
If you are a client and need a security overview, we can provide engagement-specific documentation.
third-party AI providers
Codeintel may use reputable third-party AI services and infrastructure to deliver features efficiently. The specific providers depend on the engagement and may change over time. When required, providers can be disclosed in project documentation and/or a data processing addendum.
opt-out & preferences
Clients can request:
✓ No AI usage for specific workflows
✓ AI usage limited to drafting only (no automated publishing)
✓ AI features disabled entirely within a project scope
Website visitors may also request privacy actions as described in our Privacy Policy.
