Nona’s Notions was established in March, 2006 by Melinda Giaimo and Lynne Edwards. Friends for many years, Lynne and Melinda were having lunch one day when they decided to start a business. Wanting it to be a business that would make use of their artistic talents and Lynne’s extensive sewing and crafting experience, Nona’s Notions was born.

Nona’s Notions started out making rag quilt baby blankets with a design always embroidered on them; that became their signature product. In time, Lynne and Melinda have expanded to personalize the blankets and now also make lap quilts for older children, teenagers and adults. They create and embroider many items including towels, shirts, hats, and just about any clothing item. Whether it’s a name on a shirt or a complex design on a lovely blanket, they enjoy what they do and love the look of satisfaction they get from their customers every time they deliver their products.
